finally have a bit of an update,

done quite a bit on the car, dropped the rear axle off to find... no rot :D shells looking pretty good. no pics of this as my phone went in for repair and lost all my photos.

stripped the interior for the plates for the cage, decided to have them welded in to save having to take the cage out in the future if i ever decided to do anything competitive, while the carpet was out noticed a small amount of rot on both outer rear front seat mounts but had them done when the plates were made, gave them a lick in light blue hammerite... it doesnt look quite so out of place when you look at it not on pics lol

then came the rear axle, used an xr4x4 beam and diff (which has an LSD), used new bolts, new cv gaiters as the ones on the original shafts were gone, had a look through all the trailing arms we had and chose the ones with the best bushes, had to make a new brake pipe for the beam (first one ive ever made, a bit annoying to get it right) and fitted it to the car with the new suspension i paid £20 for, looks a bit tired but as ive previously said this is a budget build.

still need to change the studs and refurb the calipers before it can be dropped down on all 4 wheels

the front wheels are on, new studs and spacers also fitted, clears the brakes lovely now

I bought the cylinder around christmas time but managed to get the handle for a bit of a bargain, and its the exact one i wanted but couldnt justify paying for lol.

plans this week are to bolt the roll cage in, need to fit the seats so i can mark where i want the handbrake before i run the brake lines and get a box section welded in, hopefully we can get it rolling on all 4s so i can bring it round to the house and wash it.
