Brown
For anyone with any experience in the tablet field, this should be easy for you. I want a tablet - this is for basic internet browsing, reading, and MAINLY watching movies when travelling. The films I watch are mostly high-res 720ish rips - therefore, I want a good screen to watch them on. I've seen people mention the Nexus 7 before, and given it is now available at £199 for the 32GB model, I just wanted to check if anyone knew of a better option out there for a similar(ish) price? Stu
I don't think you're going to beat the Nexus 7 for price. I have the 16gb one and a nice little package.

Hezz
I was gonna get the nexus 7 and plumped for the n10 after playing around with them - don't worry too much about the HDD size as with an OTG cable nexus media importer and a USB drive you can save films, photos etc to the removable drive. The N7 is "portable" than mine but not massively IMO
PeeWee
Nexus 7 without a doubt at the moment in that price range.I opted for the iPad mini though at £269 but that's my personal preference.
Brown
Cheers Hezz - seen the 16gb at £159, so that will be plenty of space for what I need. PeeWee - I really wanted the iPad retina, haha! I would have gone for the iPad mini (for familiarity reasons if nothing else) but can't justify an extra £100. What are your thoughts on the mini? For me it justify's the extra cash in every aspect, style, size pure smoothness and so light and thin.I was thinking about the Nexus7 but feel glad I got the ipad, the size is perfect as it's 7.9 " compared to 7 which may not sound much but does make a difference.Because of the size difference to normal ipad it feels like retina due to the higher ppi.Plus the new amazing jailbreak has been released offering untethered freeedom with on click lol. ThisFunny how it wasn't that welcomed when I announced these here on launch.http://www.escortevolution.co.uk/forums/in...25&hl=nexus I pretty much knew this would be quite a peach at the price, after that they doubled the storage too, very impressive. Brown
Purchased! OK, feed me apps. Can anyone recommend a good media player - mainly MKV files. I appreciate I can google this, but I would prefer your input before doing that
