Smoking Posted March 7, 2013 Share Posted March 7, 2013 HI, Has anyone come across the indicators coming on and staying on !! The car runs, starts and drives fine. The fuel gauge has stopped working as well. things tried:- I have taken the battery off for a hour. Battery on but disconated the Ecu. Anyone got a clue as to whats going on and how to fix it ? Thanks Ian could you give a few more specifics? like: do the indicators come on the instant the ignition is turned on? do they only come on or go off with the headlights? do they continue to flash when the left or right indicator stalk is used? does the hazard button over ride the lit status and flash the indicators? are ALL indicators effected? (front and rear) are the ANY other symptoms atall that you may have over looked? Does the car have a aftermarket alarm system? its hard to guess what the issue might be but off the top of my head there are a handful of possible causes. Bad earth (you'll need a auto sparkie to track that down)Indicator relay in fusebox fraggled (a quick fix if it is)Indicator stalks or hazard relay playing up (often effect headlights first but not unheard of)fusebox fraggled (but you'll often get other symptoms ontop of indicator issue as well) like I said, its gonna be hard anyone on ere to hit the right answer off the bat without more to go on. Have just noticed that the head lights are now on as well ! Ignition turned on or off. It has a Toad Arlam fited, full closure. Which works perfect. If it was just the indicators Id have looked for a relay fried but given its the HL's too Id be more inclined toward a entire fusebox issue. It may however still be the stalks as Ive heard alsorts of weird symptoms being caused by them and experienced a few myself. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Smoking Posted March 9, 2013 Author Share Posted March 9, 2013 Its sorted its self out !!! Put the battery back on after 12 hours and, everything was fine!! WHAT A CAR!!
