jamesgti
Very nice mate. I've got myself a 5 door one lowered. 60mm all round and drives perfect. On the look at for some nice new rims at the moment as the standard multi spokes are well scuffed up and badly corroded. So going to use them as winter wheels. Turner
Lovely colour. I'm after a 3 door 1.6/1.8 in the same colour at the moment. Frankly the performance and comfort doesn't compare to the escort. Don't get me wrong I loved the escort and it never let me down on the road. But this is just in a different league.Having driven a bog standard MK1 2L Focus Zetec for a few days after passing my test (prior to owning my MK6 1.4 Escort in 2009), I can totally relate. The escort felt very outdated in comparison, still adored the escort despite it driving like rubbish as it was my first own car. Nice, I don't see many in magnum grey except the ST's Yeah, me and the old 'scort went through a lot together but it was becoming badly corroded. I could even see the floor through my boot. I don't have the knowledge to do major restoration and all that welding at a garage was starting to add up. The escort was only 3 years older than the focus but most people are surprised when I tell them the focus is over 10 years old.Whereas they could easily believe the escort was older. Actually, my partner thought it was an '87 plate because it had the number 87 in the reg. Women I think hicksy is saying "now" lowered the ford flaps have 2 clips and a bolt that goes into a factory hole Yeah thats what i meant to say I love it on the Eibachs As for the headlights, they fit well because they are Ford items, the are the Factory fit Xenon headlights painted black From the factory they come in silver and i think they look poo silver Oh right, caught me out there! Chrome/silver doesn't tend to sit well on most dark cars. They look great in black, though. What is the splitter you have? Very nice mate. So going to use them as winter wheels.Quite a few people say the rims bubble and corrode but mine seem in good nick at the moment, touch wood. If I was going to replace them I think I'd have to get another set of multispokes.
Turner
Also noticed my focus badge is fading. It was either black and is going silver or was silver and is going black.Either way, be picking one of those up soon. I assume some hot water and fidgety digits will do the trick? http://imageshack.us/a/img94/6959/20130408183122.jpg

ajc.78
Looks good. Reminds me of how mine looked before I started taking it apart. Mine used to have eibach springs on it and I also rate them if you are after a subtle drop and improved handling you will do well with them. al

Read they can be used with standard shocks too, that's a plus. Came back from a service at Ford's to find timing belt and new discs and pads required all round (which I was aware of), but the oil sump also needs replacing. Ford want £1500 for the job, but luckily I know someone that'll do the lot for under £200 if I supply the parts I turned to him many a time to complete work on my escort lol. I have to wait a fortnight though, as he's fully booked atm as you can imagine. I installed some front mudflaps today, came very quick in the post. Less chipping on those front sills from now on! http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/2572/20130410165041.jpghttp://img11.imageshack.us/img11/9993/20130410165129.jpg

I probably wont be doing anything OTT with it anytime soon. Don't have the money at the moment. I didn't know what you meant at first about parking but now I do. It did look like you slid off the road into that position lol Hope you're car gets back on the road soon, my sump is about to be replaced too! Well its such a fun car as standard, it doesn't really need anything doing to it, especially compared to a 90 brake escort lol. i have got some pics of worse parking that i've done, which i must admit im a lil proud of Cheers dude, it's been a long road but we're getting nearer to the end I refitted mine to the car last night (in the pouring rain ) it was quite a pain given that you need to almost remove the bracket holding the AC pump and alternator, from the front of the engine. Hopefully it'll be a lil easier to get at for you. I'm excited to see how this motor develops

All I know is that the cat has to come off and that there isn't a gasket. Instead, heat resistant sealant has to be applied between the surfaces when refitting. The next cheap mods are some LED/white bulb side lights and a lower front grille ST badge. I know it doesn't belong to the MK1 focus but I like the design. What model was the first ST anyhow? http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/30872.jpg
hicksy
The first ST model was the Fiesta ST (well the model that was just called an ST)
