My Black Gti :(

Being a dad makes me face facts. I'm never going to get round to doing what I truly want with this, and it's making me quite sad seeing her sat outside neglected. In total, I've owned it twice, over a period of 10 years! It's been on escortevolution for the same amount of time and most old skool people on here know the car.

It's been through many different wheels and looks, and is now as the pics show below.

Current spec:

3dr black gti, rs2k interior, Weitec coilovers, hiSpec 4 pot brakes, magnet and filter. Otherwise it's now standard. Used to have Morrettes but these are long gone. Front bumper is now a grey one (I binned the old one as it had cut outs for indicators in). Has mint set of wheels with perfect Pirelli tyres.

She has not been MOT'd for about 4 years now, but has been driven, and everything still works as it should. The reason she came off the road was due to me having plans, which never materialised, she has never failed an MOT. She needs a good home, and in my opinion, does not deserve to be broken as the shell is still in fantastic condition. I have cleaned and painted underneath about 4 times to keep it that way. But will now need doing again if you want to keep this an unwelded Escort!! The arches are solid, just tiny little specs appearing. The worst rust is a 2 inch long bubbling bit above drivers door. That's it. Sills, chassis legs, bootlid, are all rock solid. I've taken pics to show.

I put the original interior in the lift many years ago and this is near concours, and can be negotiated on.

Car has done 90k, and I have all manuals and keys.

I'm not going to give it away, as it's stood around for this long, so I'm not too worried if it takes a few more years! But I'm hoping there is still somebody out there that loves these as much as I used to.

PM me for more info. Pics to follow

£600

Best pics I can get of chassis legs from laying on my driveway, any rust you see is surface and will wire brush off, they're solid:

  • 2 months later...
how big are the brakes mate??

Good question! 288 I believe, (they definitely aren't bigger than 300) and they're 4 pots. They p*ss all over the oh so common Mondeo or any other common mk6 brake upgrade. They used to have great bite, and have red stuff pads fitted. The cars done about 3k on this setup, no more.

Oh, braided lines and dot5.1 too

Location, any MOT or Tax?

Please read my description :)

No MOT or tax.if it did, price would be a lot more.

Please note, nobody is driving this home! It hasn't had an MOT in a few years so will need the discs cleaning up a bit and checking over. That said, I don't know of any issues that will fail an mot. It certainly does NOT need welding. A good service, a clean, and a run and I think it will be fine.
