demented
The PCV valve is fitted as standard. Apparently it's recommended to be replaced every 30,000 miles. Believe valve cost in region of £8-10 from Ford. I used one from a spare Escort. Not only did replacement cure the abruptness on throttle release; also cured revs hanging high when stopping. Stu
A faulty PCV valve creates an air leak in the system which can lead to all kinds of running problems.
Andy 3i
Well I crimped it earlier and the emissions went right down...almost to normal. I think a new one of these is in order. Anyone know the finis number? Also, are they simple to change?
