So at the moment we are trying to fine why it is hunting a tiny bit on idle but when maf is disconnected it runs fine. Have had the iscv out and cleaned it still the issue persists have also changed plugs and leads and maf also cleaned maf. Also seem the emissions are bad as it stinks out of the rear it has had Redex, Dry fuel (due to the flooding/Puddle) and now Cataclean

Can anyone help?

Have you tried a known good air flow meter?

Don't have one to hand for a 1.4 and Euro Car Parts are £110 don't know if I could test it and take it back if it made no difference?

Idle control vales are better refurbished or replaced IMO?

Lamda sensor?

Idle control valve seem pretty expensive to lol lambda sensor was going to be my next thing although makes no difference to the rpm when disconnected

What makes you say those, considering what he's told us?

From my experience i have never been able to get idle control valve "clean" to make a difference and have always found that it has been more effective to replace it.

I mention lamda sensor because he has an emissions problem, in my experience of my escort, when it had emission issues it was a faulty MAF and lamda sensor

i'd get a diagnostic on it first

then shop around on the parts, euro car parts is not the always the cheapest, if you do use them use a discount code

Also i was told that your not able to read engine cods

Some 1994–95 Ford vehicles have an OBD-II style 16-pin DLC under the dash that only

functions for the Generic Electronic Module (GEM) or ABS. This connector does not work for

testing engine, powertrain, or transmission modules. Check the VECI label to verify if the

vehicle is not OBD-II compliant.
