Pics made it look loads better than it was, boot wouldnt open or passenger door so new locks, key and mechanisms.

Pic of front:

Dont even know where to start, there was no brakes so ordered some 300mm ST170 drilled and grooved discs and picked up some mondeo mk3 calipers.

Stripped front down and realised everything was fucked lol, ordered, new steering rack gaiters, track rod ends, drop links, arb bushes, arb bracket, both driveshafts, wishbones.

Also picked up 30mm shocks and springs from a mk5 fiesta zetec s.

240mm vs 300mm:

Converting the fiesta strut top to escort:

Strut finished and painted:

Before it all started:

Arb bushes:

track rods:

http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/rr102/ProjectGSi/null_zps676c80b9.jpg

Most of it done:

http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/rr102/ProjectGSi/null_zps661edf3d.jpg

Rear shocks springs were more complicated, had to cut top half of thread off and attach the eyelet thing from top of escort shock and then put mixture of fiesta and escort together

Rear springs:

All fitted and undersealed:

A brave project, what engine does it have, and what's the under side like?

Silvertop, floorpans rotten, sills, rear chassis leg, exhaust rotten, all suspension needed replaced, only good part of car was engine and genuine oz 17s lol

If it wasn't for the general poor condition I like the car. Good work on the suspension tidy up. I quite liked the bonnet bulges! What size engine I think was more the question lol? what else is in the pipeline?

Oh and did you need to cut out any rot or was it surface rust?

Bonnet bulges didnt go with my plans lol, dunno size of engine yet need to take manifold to have a look, was told 2.0, had to cut 2 patches out one on each floorpan and then weld plates in there and at where the floorpan meets the sill.

Got quite a few ideas to come yet just getting money and time to do them all

I'm quite surprised at how well that pepper/nouveau red bonnet goes with white.

Thanks, wont be staying that colour though

300mm's should sort braking out mate only trouble with the Mondeo calipers is the pad choice is almost non existent that's why i took them off my trackday MK5

standard discs and pads will be more than enough for road use

I thought it would make a good cheap upgrade as only spent 15 on calipers and 55 on discs :)

Took the passenger sideskirt off today to start on the sills, half of sill was rotten half was whole so patched it all and undersealed all of the passenger side underneath:

To be fair if it's only for road the standards are well upto the job with good pads and discs

Genuine lower cossie spoiler and replica top half. Needs a few bits sorted but so happy i finally got one as ive been looking for weeks for one that someone would post. Only sat roughly in place so i could get pics. Rear wiper must need removed? as its in the road at the moment. Should cover up all the holes left from the evo spoiler.
