jp Posted February 10, 2002 Share Posted February 10, 2002 at the momnet im a bit short of money and however much i want a full magnex system i cant aford it. i currently have a s/s back box and a k&n to increase the sound, but it isnt enough. can anyone help me with advice on taking away one of my silencer boxes, not the cat. and replace it with a striaght through pipe. i am worried that i will lose power or not pass my MOT though. one of my friends has got rid of every silencer on his 205 gti and its loud as f##k but i think hes lost power doing it. please can someone help me? sortedford Posted February 10, 2002 Share Posted February 10, 2002 I was just reading this this mornin, petrol engines usethe boxes costhey provide the back pressure the system needs,whereas turbos dont need the back pressure.
