Rhinopower05
How much on average will a garage charge to swap a 1.6 for a 1.8, swap over cambelt kit and water pump, cams and headgasket, and have it all working?? Failing that is there a member on here willing to do it for me?

Ex-Finesse
swap over cambelt kit and water pump, cams and headgasket, and have it all working?? I'd heavily recommend a new cambelt, your old one will have been used to tension. Re-fitting and tensioning it could be risky. Also, why cams and headgasket?? Are you only getting a 1.8 bottom end?? Get a complete 1.8 engine. I have one for sale for £100 I'll get a link in a moment EDIT: Link! Edited June 19, 2005 by Ex-Finesse

Also head bolts should only be torqued twice and then replaced.
