Right Boot Release

Right my boot release still doesnt work i have got a new button it isnt that also tryed conecting the power directly yo the Motor in the boot and that works

 

so what is there between the electric button near the gear surround and the motor in the boot and sort of relays etc because the conection must be broke somewhere along the line

Ah right cool cheers does it not run to anything else on the way i.e runs straight from switch to motor

i believe power comes from the fusebox down the drives side, to the switch, then from the switch back down the drivers side to the rear, all in the loom, you may need to take the drivers seat out n take the carpet up that side, its then easy to trace the colours to and from the switch, and you can get a multimeter on to see if theres power to the switch and continuity from the switch to the motor

I take it you've cleaned the boot contacts and check the wires are connected there?

the boot contacts have nothing to do with the boot motor as you can hear it activate when the boot lid it open when its working
