GTsI Posted November 28, 2002 Share Posted November 28, 2002 if you have got excessive play in the track rod end itself then it is fcuk mate, buy a new one and replace the old fcuked one and then get the tracking done (as it will fcuk your tyres). Basically as far as i know (well on ford mk2 fiesta's anyway) undo the wheel (jack it up first though)undo the track rod (at the point where it's bolted to the hub)undo the track rod (at the point where it's attached to the steering rack) any wheel and tyre place will replace the track rod end and do the tracking for you aswell as for a price well your looking at around £30 to £40. I WOULDN'T PERSONNALLY MESS AROUND WITH YOUR STEERING OR BRAKES, GET A TRAINED PERSON TO CARRY OUT THE JOB. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
