93EGTinLR
I know it has been almost a year since I posted on here...but it has been a crazy year for the Escort...I rear ended a Kia, repaired the panels from that, then busted the oil pan on the Shite raods we have here....yeah...in Arkansas they do pave the roads...but they suck at it...so here come some pics before the hit and some pics of the repair panels installed awaiting paint then the oil pan...which I am going to take pics of this weekend and update here with a look at the damage

93EGTinLR
Scotteh, yep ours are a ton different...and I am planning the repray within the next couple of months or so Sortedford, ouch was def the word for it...and for a change I was not arsing about in the car...as far as the turbo project that is on hold for the time being...my wife is attending the university and that tightens the old budget a bit...but things are going to be heading in a forward direction soon...she's to graduate in May and get a better paying job than I have... Foxdie, the engine in mine is a Mazda 1.8l 127hp n/a DOHC that if I remember right was avail in the 323f on that side ofthe ocean Danposs86, I'm still happy to be American but you guys do have much better looking Escorts...but being as the Escort badge started over there that is not surprise...and after my wife gets done with university, I may actually be able to sort out importing one....and from what I have seen on Ebay...it may even be a Cossie...oh I hope...that or a Cabrio...I owned one of those last time I wsa living in Germany...I loved that car and it would really stand out here
93EGTinLR
oh, and yes I did the repair work myself, but I do not do paint...lol...and the parts were dirt cheap as I have been doing business with someon on parts for diff Escorts for awhile...I spent a whole $50 for the hood, fender(wing?) headlight and mounting bracket for the light....I had the spare celar on hnd from another time....luck with that one I guess

93EGTinLR
I do like the newer ones for sure...the one I had i Germany was an 88 XR3i which if I remember right would be an MK IV, but being the evr hungry American...I crave the power of the Cossie....lol
danposs86
Are there many Escort Cosworths in America?
93EGTinLR
very few and far between...there was a company in CA that was importing them in 95, but that has been just a few days past...now the big rage is importing half cuts and engines form Japan for your Nissan, Honda and Toyotas....oh and being that our Escorts are Mazda Based we can benefit from that as well....several people here on the www.feoa.net board have done that...as well as a few v-6 conversions...which has gotten some of my interest due to the better low end torque that could come in handy for autocross racing
