neil
Its hard to tell. Pics of a reasonably dirty engine in the dark with a flash will never come out that well

Guest gti.tom
theres just something not quite right with it. Where's the gti gearknob? It's either been by the sea for its life or hes been filling the engine bay with water, hence the rust. There's also a lot of oil stains around the head gasket. I'd be weary. Trig
There's also a lot of oil stains around the head gasket. do you mean rocker gasket rather than head gasket?

Ex-Finesse
As neil said, that's mainly down to the flash highlighting the road film around the engine bay, and the light corrosion on the rocker cover. I should imagine many engine bays on here would look similiar under the same lighting / photographic conditions. LOL @ the suggestion FSH would make any impact on engine bay cleanliness!
