could crack or smash / shatter it... plastic or metal unless unavoidable IMO or carbon fibre if your very rich

i got my arches from evo due to that being about £10 cheaper than fibresports... took about 6 weeks to arrive and were about £120 for just 4 arches - the wider ones

my skirts are RGM M3 skirts they were about £80 after shopping around

... direct fit and lovely flexible thick plastic :)

Sorry for the late replies - forgot I'd put this up.

The arches won't fit a 3 door but you can get a version that will.

Got them from Essex racing and took A LOT of shaping to fit but fit awesome now. Never got round to fitting the arches, shame cus I love that look.

Needs breaking cus I need the cash to fund my new car!

Technically fibreglass is stronger than plastic cus its plastic with fibres of glass for reinforcement. Improves tensile strength and toughness (can you tell I'm an engineer!). They are f*cking strong - bottomed out big time once and not even a mark on them. I stopped and didn't want to look cus was expecting bits of fibreglass all over the road but not even a mark on them.

But I wouldn't recommend getting them from Essex racing. They fit well now but took so much effort to get them the right shape.

Lovely looking car that mate, shames it's being broken, every mod just right on that for me :thumb:

Since those pics I meshed the rear bumper same as front and added a red Ford badge. It looked the nuts. I wish I didn't have to break it.

It's got rear discs as well as RS2000 front brakes, with red calipers front and rear.

tensile strengh yes - real world no and fibreglass is usually laid thinner than equiv plastic plastic esp pu-rim is flexible and doesn't crack - at its limits it will deform or split. fibreglass has next to no flexibility...

the ones from essex racing probs come from fibresports - mine had to be cut and shaped loads just to fit well enough for blending
