CSL and 10k change

then get whooped by a swift gti with 5-6k sent on the engine :thumb:

LOL really? In what way would it be whooped? How much would you need to spend on an 1100kg escort to make it keep up with a 1300kg M3 with 360bhp? Could that escort put all its power down at once? What about when it got to the next corner?

I don't understand CSLs.

Why would you want to sacrifice so many luxuries and some practically for just a little more power and slightly better cornering.

I've not driven one, but I should think the M3 is a fabulously handling car, one which limits could rarely be pushed on the road. So why the need for a CSL? On track I can imagine the difference is more noticable, as everything seems slower on track.

But a CSL as a track car, nah, there's got to be better options. I'd certainly rather take a day-to-day used M3 on track, and sacrifice the small benefit a CSL would have.

Brilliant mate.. a Ford Escort site and you use the term "swift gti" (no capitals either) and expect us to know what you're on about?

Once again...

Wait...

even if it did "win" (by that i'm guessing you mean a drag race rather than a proper track shootout) if I were in the CSL i would just LAUGH my ARSE off

muppet  hope you get lots of points with that attitude :thumb:

the guy in the CSL was punching his dashboard, yes drag race up to around 120mph, and even at that speed the CSL had just started to 'hold' the gap.

So sorry for not putting CAPS in the Mr Spellchecker :P

id rather sit in a CSL than a bean can swift.. i certainly know which one id rather be in if i had a crash at 120mph.. ill give u a clue, wouldnt be a swift

muppet

Explain??

I dont always race,

I dont race around town,

I dont race on busy public roads,

I race for the sake of racing and for the adrenalin rush,

If i get caught speeding then so be it, its my licence, its my car, i know the risks ;)

My car, my life, my choice :thumb:
