scarey26
Ok first car, bought it myself, when i was 17, learnt to drive in it, then drove it for nearly a year, untill it was run of the road Was a ford escort MK 6 1.8 S.I, had a performance airfilter, but that was all, because it was quite a nippy car, was going to put aftermarket alloys on, GTI side skirts and Spats, with a custom exhaust, but never got round to it, luckily because it would have been a waste of money. as the exhaust was ripped of during crash and alloys all bent. Second car was the late great G reg Mk3 (i think), ford escort bonus, 1.3, no powersterring, only 3 gears working, but lasted allmost half a year untill its mot, where the wheel bearing cost was more than the car to get fixed, so it is bieng stock car raced now with a 1.6 bored out engine in it. Its handeling was absoulutley S**T, and brakeing was awfull aswell. last car was a Mk 6 1.6 mexico, was actually a nice car, not as good as the gti, we bought it with a head gasket gone, but carreyed on driving it for about 4 months, without fixing it, it finally died, the day before i came to University, having clocked 240,000 miles, i know i cant belive it either. Currently no car, because of lack of parking in huddersfield, but will probably get a car during summer, as ive found some places to park for next year. I hope youve enjoyed my car history, feel free to comment, or take the Pee

scarey26
i thought that you were supposed to get a better car each time you got a new car the smash in the first car knocked me back financially, mainley because the van driver who run me off, didnt stop, (i still drive past him occasionall, but never been able to get his attention, wander why), so i was claiming of my own insurance, and becasue i was 17 with a 1.8 si the excess was a lot, so i didnt put the claim in. So i tryed to work my way up, lookig for the next car on the scale at the mo... your G reg was a mk4 mate cheers mate, that car was a ledgend at school becasue of the lack of grip, you could do reverse 180's etc
