They are not completly sealed in yet but anyway.. i noticed today the airbag light is constantly flashing. WHY????? the back seats have nothing to do with it right?? My car the light flashed four times, stopped and did it again. It was something to do with the seatbelts. Mk6 Si Ross Posted February 14, 2003 Share Posted February 14, 2003 there`s a yellow thing under the Mk6 seats thats the seat belt pre-tensioner, when loose this can cause the light the flash on dash, give it a wiggle, failing that take the bulb out!!! Al Posted February 14, 2003 Share Posted February 14, 2003 Had this on a Mondy i had.Pushed the yellow coupler about, and it stopped, job done.Maybe you put the front seats forward to gain better access to the rear seats?? which tugged at the coupler? McRic Posted February 15, 2003 Share Posted February 15, 2003 as Al. said check the wires under the front seats might just be coincidence that they have came loose, should be a yellow wire just trace where it goes and make sure its plugged in properly. Al. ohhh yea i had this problem too, and thought it would be quite funny to take it to ford to get a quote for a laugh.....they wanted in the region of £50 to probably play about with that little wire.
