£20 -8/-6 spanner for JIC fitting, proper nice of um but has made me wona now buy the -16/-12 & -10/-8 spanners lol

Also what I thought was -12 return from scavenger pump isn't, not quite any way.

 

Fitting looks like -12 and -12 starts to screw onto it but then doesn't!

 

Got to try and figure out what AN/JIC it is, got fed up then so walked away lol

Finally after getting a couple of fitting orders wrong as once I have driven home form the unit my memory sometimes gets things wrong lol

 

FUELAB FPR fittings are all sorted now and also the PSI dial gauge...

The slave cylinder fits and looks well in the bay, just now to sort out the bracketry for it to fit to the box, but Coley is helping me with that one as he's a wiz with metal work bespoke items!

My magical mate Ian Cole "Coley" has been working again...

 

My oil cooler had -10 fittings welded on and I need -12 so he's removed them...

Just to get some new -12 fitting to go on now.

 

I have a one off rocker cover that was gained from a black cab lol

 

The special bit of it is that it came standard with no oil filler hole, and as I am running dry sump, I don't need a filler hole!

 

But also I need to modify the oil breather system on it to run -10 to a catch tank... so old hole needs a machined piece welding in it and a weld on fitting putting on the side, Ian has machined me a piece to fit...

Some more parts arrived today for my pedal box build, few concerns with the box as even though it's from a Maxi F2/Kit Car when I place it up to the bulk head with the column in, it hits the column.

 

I have the original GrpA shell it came out of up the unit so will have to put it back in that and see how it clears...

 

Fitted up the master cylinders just to size up.

My seem a boring update but this has been testing my patients for a while now, the pedal box.

 

 

Firstly the rose bearing needed to be floating in the pedal for the bias bar but my pedal wasn't big enough for bearing, so popped into me mate Daves on way home from work this afternoon and he worked his magic with the welder for me.

 

 

He has cut up a bit of motorsport history though lol

Spent all day today at my unit, lost track of time but actually enjoyed myself up there, rarity as some times feels like a ball ache when there tbh.

Then the dreaded fit! But she's now got a bias pedal box and working steering column! pretty chuffed man.

Few finishing touches to be done but it all works as it should.

Still yet to make up a throttle pedal and also get the rose joint for the clutch, then also get the correct length pipes for the fluid bottles as possibly locating in the car yet, not 100%.

Thanks to Coley and Rex for taking some of my parts to be allow welded over Christmas, popped over to Coley's yesterday as Rex had collected parts for me, Oil Cooler and Rocker Cover all done.

 

I cleaned out the oil cooler with brake cleaner and nearly a gallon of petrol and blew air line through it just to make sure it was free of any debris after having -12's fitted.

 

Paint the cooler matt black also..

Also gave the rocker a quick coat of gloss black wrinkle finish paint, its at home now having the third and final coat as you have to give it few coats in 20 degree room.
