JC
Thought while i had a little time i'd add the pics of my first escort, that not everyone has seen! When i was learning to drive / first passed my test i had this escort: http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Blue%20escort/DSC00005.jpg I bought it off my brother for £300, had sat on the drive for 6mths, but prior to that it had just had a full service and a lot spent on it keeping it mint. Had only done 60k miles! Wasnt any rust to it, was in better conditon that my silver escort. A new battery and oil change saw me driving it happyily for 3mths. Was a good first car very relaible, basic and underpowered, but very cheap to run! Thou after a month the drivers seat dropped, so i popped a set of Ghia seats in, the nicest of escort seats IMO. Then one day driving to work, a nasty woman pulled out a side road and stopped in the midde of the road, the traffic was stationary so she had no where to go. Unable to stop in time, ice didnt help as skidded, slammed into the side of of her. Must have only been about 5mph as didnt think it was going to touch. the front end of my car crumpled: http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Blue%20escort/DSC00105.jpghttp://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Blue%20escort/DSC00037.jpg needed a new bumper, headlight, radiator, grille and wing straightening. the clio that pulled out on me was mashed, needed from where i was sitting: new door and wing, and the wheel was buckled!: http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Blue%20escort/9damagetoothercar2.jpghttp://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Blue%20escort/8damagetoothercar1.jpg anyway, the nasty woman started shouting at me and her partner turned up and started shouting too! Rather annoyed me to say the least! My first priorty was geting my car back on the road so spend a weekend down a breakers taking the parts out another escort, got me hooked on taking them appart, and around the same time i "discovered" EVO and joined up! got all the parts and had my local garage repair it and was soon back on the road, they did a good job of straightening the wing back! Put back as standard for the insurance: http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Blue%20escort/DSC00201.jpg although the bonnet didnt quite match... but ended up sourcing one from ebay for £20 and sold the mis matched one for £20! With my new found hobbie some other things got added: http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Blue%20escort/DSC00256.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Blue%20escort/DSC00255.jpghttp://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Blue%20escort/DSC00284.jpghttp://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Blue%20escort/DSC00283.jpg Being only on 3rd party, fire & theft with motor legal protection, i had to pay for all the repairs myself, then I sued the nasty woman with the insuraers lawyers, was satisfying! And got a tidy sum by the time all the things were added up! Decided not to mod this one anymore, the encore is really basic! and ended up putting the money towards my silver one! wwwd
What a cheeky b*tch! If she starting having a go at me when it was blatantly her fault I'd have trouble controlling myself! If there's one thing that really p*sses me off is sh*t drivers! Glad you sued the cow anyway!
p--john--p
my old scort got reversed into by a woman at tescos i was driving along the road and she just reversed out BANG i argued for an hour telling her she was at fault, but no ( not wise to argue with female species ) her hubby came down and i soon shut up ( big guy ) he had a right go at his wife cos he knew she was at fault, then she claimed i was going way to fast , considering she hit me 100 yds from the junction and i had a trailer on, i told him it was nonsense and pointed to trailer, i was only third party fire and theft but help hire sorted all this out and got a nice wee figure for the escort ( more than what i paid ) so morale of story dont argue with females, just wind them up till their husband comes down lol Edited January 20, 2008 by p--john--p

If there's one thing that really p*sses me off is sh*t drivers! Glad you sued the cow anyway! I was so shaken after the accident, the loudness of the bang when it hit, to really speak! People really should learn to take responsibilty for their mistakes! Was really satifying knowing that a court summons dropped through her door in her name! Few plp know about that way of getting money back, its worth the extra £22 a year for motor legal protection! last i knew about it she'd got a solistor to try and sue me for wiplash! At least my insurance told them where to go after i'd have the compo! my old scort got reversed into by a woman at tescos i was driving along the road and she just reversed out BANG i argued for an hour telling her she was at fault, but no ( not wise to argue with female species ) her hubby came down and i soon shut up ( big guy ) he had a right go at his wife cos he knew she was at fault, then she claimed i was going way to fast , considering she hit me 100 yds from the junction and i had a trailer on, i told him it was nonsense and pointed to trailer, i was only third party fire and theft but help hire sorted all this out and got a nice wee figure for the escort ( more than what i paid ) so morale of story dont argue with females, just wind them up till their husband comes down lol I hate plp like that! i had some one rear end that escort and the guy was really sorry offered to pay for the damage straight off and i wasnt too bothered about it!
