Steve im sorry mate but you need to wake up and pull your head out of your arse as you chat absolute shite, it doesnt matter what tyres you have on it because no way on gods earth will a fwd 2.5 mondeo beat a 4wd subaru impreza

If your mondeo is that good maybe you should right to ford rally and say uve missed out on a great car, what do you want focus's for when mondeos are better, as mine beats subaru impreza's im sure they will reply with

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Anyone got a Impreza STI to have it with his mondeo ill put my life on it mondeo will end up being the loser

And as for understeer, give me the car for 5minutes and ill make that understeer like no tomorrow,

May i also add take traction control off which i doubt you turn off and see what happens then lol

yeah I know with imprezas I'm sure they wouldn't mind doing a quarter mile against the mondeo lol.

I'm fairly confident that a non-turbo classic impreza would destroy a Mondeo on the twisties.
think your right stu I'd put money on it aswell.........

run down a dual carriage way and round round about and back down versus an 08 reg 2.5 WRX STI and a P reg WRX on a seperate occasion thank you :)

I've got to jump on the bandwagon here and say something aint right there. I've owned both a '98 V3 STI (which is slower than the newer 2.5) and a Mondeo V6 saloon (same engine as an ST24?) and seriously, no comparison I'm afraid, especially when handling comes into play. As an example, I've also had an N/A Subaru Impreza and Forester which are only 130bhp and I still outran a Seat Cupra R down some wet, twisty roads in the Forester. They handle very well.

It is the same v6 in all other v6 mondeos other than the st200 in mk1 and mk2

its the same V6 however there are some differences between mine and earlier ones - No EGR, factory fit larger lower inlet manifold from the ST200 (ford like to save money) and mine corners quick and well courtesy of Koni suspension set up.

I do not need to justify myself, I know I have beaten 2 subarus and if you don't want to believe that, then up to you.

TBH I dont care what people on here have to say. I'm only really on here to sell my left over escort parts but as they are rubbish all the bits are going the same way.

I honestly don't see why I should stay on this site as the only escort Im ever going to get is either a mk1 RS2000 or a EsCos but I dont think you lot deserve the right to see them and the only time you'll see my mondeos from now on is at shows or possibly in magazines

They are pretty much the same power though, which is less than my 2 litre focus.

If you dont like hearing the truth from people on here then why stay around?
