I've owned both a '98 V3 STI (which is slower than the newer 2.5) and a Mondeo V6 saloon (same engine as an ST24?) and seriously, no comparison I'm afraid, especially when handling comes into play. As an example, I've also had an N/A Subaru Impreza and Forester which are only 130bhp and I still outran a Seat Cupra R down some wet, twisty roads in the Forester. They handle very well.
