sebsescort
Hi, Well, last time i had a prang was back in oct. 2006. Happened up in Surrey taking my mate to pick up an escort he just bought on ebay. We was a mile from the guys house when travelling down a 30mph road a toyota avensis pull out of a junction without looking my way. I locked up and swerved to avoid her but still hit her. Her car didn't have a scratch on it but mine has got a fair sized dent in the wing and loads of scratches anmd the bumper has a load of scrapes of her paintwork on it. Pic isn't great as it didn't happen long ago so will be able to have a better look at my car in the daylight tomorrow. Im sure whether to go through insurance? http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/13471.jpg

sebsescort
Yeah Dave, she admitted it was her fault and that it was because they had been travelling all day. Im still gutted though as it looks a lot worse in real life rather than that crappy quick pic i took If i go through insurance, it will go up again, and my insurance is up this sunday
danposs86
Ask for a bit of cash.
sebsescort
Ask for a bit of cash. Tis what i thought. Im going down my mates work tomorrow to get a quote of how much it will cost to repair. I'd only ask her for like £150-£200, as it will cost me £100 for a new bumoer painted and then the dent and scratches i can live with and buy another thing for my car lol
Matt86
I had a similar dent just above the bumper... pushed it out and sprayed it up, was near perfect- thats if you want some cash... I dont see why it should effect your insurance if she admits fault?
sebsescort
Because its still an claim you had to make, even though it doesn't affect my no claims it sill affects my policy, wierd i know lol I might just ask for some cash, and modifiy my car more. I'll live with the extra dents and scrapes lol
Wanton110
I claimed for my Nissan and they haven't taken away my no claims or even asked for my excess A women hit me with her trolley the other day, creased the entire side of my car while I was sat in it!! She just raised and eye brow climbed in to her car and f**ked off before I could talk to her :/
meekstaaa
If you ask for cash get a proper written quote from someone
sebsescort
If you ask for cash get a proper written quote from someone Oh i will mate. My mate works at a Ford garage and we all know how expenisive their prices are. They charge £300 for a new bumper fitted and sprayed. But if i get like £200 from her i'll be happy as the car has so many feeking dents etc. in it im starting to think i couldn't care less lol

sebsescort
No idea Pete. e.g. I get a new quote. All my details without the information i enter about the asscident i had in october 2006 that 'wasn't my fault' - £850 Same quote but this time with the accident i had added, as you must decalre these - £950. I don't fancy it going up by another £100 when i could just get a newly sprayed bumper done for £100 and then live with th dented and scrapped wing. Wierd i know, must be something to do with my age and sex again
1pukkadeal
Soemone has done this to twice in 4 months but lucky for me it was a front and back bumper ,both times my car was parked up and I was next to it on foot ,both times I got cash for new bumpers as they were sh1t scared of going through the insurance ,hence both my new nice mint bumpers
dark-ryder
who are you insured with? if someone crashes into you, and you claim against them it doenst affect your policy, it affects theirs. claiming against someone else doenst put a claim against yourself. if she hadnt admitted liability (which u should never do at the road side) then it may have affected your insurance as you hit her. if your insurance company put your insurance up for a non fault accidient then i would change company!
