The RS is going in to get a full respray :D and its going to be de-locked while its being sprayed. Im now thinking of taking off the handles and using solenoids. ?(

Opinions, do you think it looks better without the handles and locks or just the locks.

just get rid of the locks matey. if you take the handles off then it probably wont pass its mot unless you take it to the test centre with the windows down. i was speaking with an mot inspector and he said your car has to have some sort of way of getting into your car in the event of an accident and someone needs to get you out from the outside. sorry to put a downer on your plans but in my opinion it would look wicked if it was completely smooth ! :thumb:

if anybody knows any different then i will stand corrected ! :)

TVR's have a button that activates the door solenoid on the underside of the door mirrors. You could fit a switch to the underside of the Escort door mirror if you want to be really trick ;)

You could keep the driver side door handle and remove and smooth the passenger side handle and lock instead

Be sensable with regards your mod's mate, remember, if your car's everyday, then you need something you can reley upon everyday.

Good advise that :thumb:

So how to TVR's pass, as i doubt in any serious accident the push button and solenoid wouldnt work.
