Im now thinking of taking off the handles and using solenoids. Opinions, do you think it looks better without the handles and locks or just the locks. Cheers Crumpy. Crumpy Posted May 14, 2003 Author Share Posted May 14, 2003 If I took all the locks off then it doesnt matter, if my alarm plays up or my battery goes flat then im buggered without ive got handles or not. RICH V Posted May 14, 2003 Share Posted May 14, 2003 just get rid of the locks matey. if you take the handles off then it probably wont pass its mot unless you take it to the test centre with the windows down. i was speaking with an mot inspector and he said your car has to have some sort of way of getting into your car in the event of an accident and someone needs to get you out from the outside. sorry to put a downer on your plans but in my opinion it would look wicked if it was completely smooth ! if anybody knows any different then i will stand corrected ! You could fit a switch to the underside of the Escort door mirror if you want to be really trick You could keep the driver side door handle and remove and smooth the passenger side handle and lock instead Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
