Gonzo0
Any part that isnt standard on that specific model of car MUST be declared. If an assesor knows his fords and spots Gti wheels on an LX and they havnt been declared then chances are he will invalidate your claim and your screwed. wwwd
When i got my insurance for my current car i asked the man on the phone - honestly can the police do anything if you havent declared the mods and they find this out when they stop you and he said no they cant, like u cant get done for invalid insurance it is only the insurance company that are interested and not the police Of course he would say that! Because you've just admitted (on a recorded call no less) that you have mods you haven't declared, which means your insurance is void. Insurance companies love customers like you because they are getting a payment from you every month and yet if you do have any kind of accident or problem then they don't have to pay out! It's free money for them.
fekyo
it may have already been said so excuse me if it has, i havent read all 3 pages. go adrian flux, i told them everything ive done to my car, and it turned out cheaper than my current direct line twits who moaned about a backbox. teh
I'm with Morethan, i'm also 18 and my insurance is £1300 a year (or £1200 if paid off in one lump). This was a recent renewal as before I was on a young drivers policy which prevented me from even putting a different head unit in the car! More than are happy with my "cosmetic" mods e.g spoiler, skirts, spats and alloys for no extra cost. They don't accept performance/handling mods I don't think. Give them a try. @emma: bit of subject, but do you pop over the pond to southampton at all? If so i'll give you a flash and a wave if I see you! cabbstar
ive always found adrian flux gives a good deal on modded cars. i had a 1.8 astra estate that i did the following to, uprated brakes2 litre 16v engine swapstrut braceloweringfront skirtsquad head lights and declared it all and went fully comp at 380 quid
