Rob01
If you get insured on a car before you've passed your test ie , on provisionals , once you've passed your test do you need to reapply for insurance (ie full uk license expeNsive crap)?
Charley
As far as I'm aware you would just need to inform your insurer that you have gained a full driving licence
Rob01
would you need to repay?
Charley
They would inform you if the premium went up or down. If it was to go up which it shouldn't in my opinion then you would have to pay the difference, if it goes down then they would refund the difference to you

Another £300.They class you as more of a risk when your allowed on your own than forced to be driving with a qualified driver.
JC
Mine went down, think as I did pass plus too helped! So got a part refund half way through the year as had paid up front for 12mths :-) My brother was with Tesco's for years, started on a provisional, he told them when he passed then a few years later they refused to renew as he was still on a provisional... turned out they never updated their records and got a refund of £900!
