Lee_2f2f
As per title... has anyone actually managed to use this yet? I have a Dell inspiron 1501, and everytime I download the 'Download Manager' it starts to "verify" and then says there are files missing? I have downloaded it from various parts of Dells website to see if I can get any joy but its saying the same thing all the time..... Basically I am looking for the Dell USB Smart Card reader Keyboard drivers.... If any of you can help me look for like... a Zip file of the drivers or something? I am having no joy at all!!! Its a Dell USB Smartcard reader keyboard Model SK-3106 there are drivers on Dell's site but it keeps requesting to install that Download manager which does not even work...... shawdreamer
Im round his later so Ill see if he can point me in theright direction for ya Cheers fella great help if you can. he told me he doesnt remember the exact name of the patch he used (was a while back) but he knows its a generic job not Dell issued and quite widely available on download sites. He said he did a straight forward problem search through google not expecting any real results but came back with shitloads of answers and he just used a link from one of the hits to find and D/L the patch to correct it. hope that helps fella

Si
Ok, it just narrows the search down as there are different drivers for vista an Xp
shawdreamer
The laptop originally came with Windows Vista, but I have Windows XP Pro SP3 on it now as it runs much better. did the same with mine, dumped Vista as in all honesty I found it glitchy and unimpressive. Dont recall having any issues with Dells D/L manager before I did that but TBH I dont recall using it atall before the downgrade to XP so chances are thats what screwed up mine and did the same to yours the patch that my brother-in-law installed was likely a upgrade to the relevant software back to Vista levels maybe?
