eetaylog
for anyone that cares, 802.11n standard has now lost its draft status, so we'll probably be seeing them in more commercial products now. apparently the new ipod alreafy has a wireless N chip built in... http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/27101/ieee...reless-standard

eetaylog
yeah you can buy wireless n cards. i was looking at getting one for my laptop, but opening it up to change it over for my wireless G will void my warranty, so im gonna have to wait a year... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

caled
It make file transfer go fast now. edit: between computers on the same wireless LAN, at least. Edited September 15, 2009 by caled
eetaylog
it should make wireless data transfer speeds a lot quicker. the current 802.11g cards/routers transfer at ~54Mb/s. wireless N is meant to be around the 150Mb/s mark depending on who you listen to, so should be much better for streaming high quality video and VOIP.
