mk2xr2
Hi all, What have people done to upgrade the rear speakers in the rear of the MK6 Escort estates? I changed the fronts to after market speakers with the adaptors, and fitted the standard Ford front speakers in the rear as they were the higher spec items with the seperate tweeter. But I noticed the other day one of them is not working correctly. Sounds really weedy? So I am looking at fitting a pair of aftermarket speakers in the back now. So what have you estate owners done for the back? What size speakers have you fitted, and did you use adaptors? Any advice and suggestions would be most helpfull. Regards,Rob. Billkent22
I am aware this is a 2year old post but id rather do this than start a new one! (i used the search facility lol) I want to upgrade my rear speakers but i had a look at the rear boot panel, mounting depth and space is no problem but just confused about how id run the wiring as there is no actual wiring running to the tailgate it connects to the rest of the car using those 3 pins on the tailgate. JAMGTI
the 3 pins ar for the wiper motor and screen heater, wiring for the central locking and number plate lights should bo in a rubber gromit/sleeve near the hinges.
