Mr. Nick
well this is a bit of an odd one.. I'll go to google, and search, when i find what i want, i'll click on it, but instead of bringing up the result, i'll get redirected to another search engine. The thing is, its only when i search with google? I'm using Firefox 3.5 Anyone else got this problem? Did a full system scan earlier and got nothing its got me stumped! sidrick
Make you've got the most recent updates for the program. IE8 also doesn't suffer from this. BTW.

MCCORNY11
and why not? does nobody understand what a host file does? i can guarantee that it cuts out 90% of rubbish on the net! if you know that 127.0.0.1 is a loop back address something from the host file (( 127.0.0.1 www.bulletads.com )) this will then look for www.bulletads.com at the following address 127.0.0.1 which will not connect as its a loop back address saving anything from this site downloading/connecting to your computer! SAFE 100% if you dont like it take the file out! no virus no spyware nothing! one file!
wwwd
My Dad had this problem on his laptop - all his browsers were effected. Took a hell of a lot of work getting it sorted out again, as it's an aggressive type of Malware/Spyware which isn't easy to remove. Try using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, Ad-Aware SE Personal, CCleaner and some decent Anti-Virus software.
Mr. Nick
Used AVG, an CCleaner, and i used malwarebytes, gonna do another scan then restart and see if anythings changed! it doesnt affect Opera, just Firefox, an IE is a no go as i got rid of it because as soon as i used it i got a virus lol so that ended that along time ago, might try IE8 though as i think it was IE6/7 ?? Will report back in a few minutes!!

Opera/Chrome for speed and security Just for information sake, IE8 is the most up to date secure browser you will find right now, those who shunned IE in the past (me included) should seriously consider revisiting IE in its present form as its truly wonderful browser & for now second to none. This isnt an oppinion btw its due to extensive browser usage on a large scale in a multi user environment.
