Woke up and some trade stalls were setting up and there was a tool stall there. so just got loads of electricians tape, a stanley knife and some sandpaper. The fact that it was the only N/A CVH engine in the world (that I knew of) that didn't sound like an amplified clock on speed...... and the "turbo, the size of a small country with a 1,000,000 cats trapped inside" style noise I got from the gearbox after something simple and easy to fix died inside it.
