John Posted August 1, 2003 Share Posted August 1, 2003 i'm sure there was someone on here a while back was either doing it or talking of doing it? thing is to do it properly and officially is a lot of work and expense. if u inform the insurance about it then really they should ask for a full engineers report on the vehicle after having that kinda mod which is gonna cost a fair few quid on it's own i can't see there would be too many problems fitting it in though, they were still fitting a cvh derived engine in these motors weren't they? The earlier small CVH was indeed a 1.3, but i thought the smallest CVH you can get in later models is a 1.4?? It should be a hcs as they only did the mk4 in a 1.3cvh engine I think and then you could get the mk5 in a 1.4 and 1.6 cvh engine with the efi thing but the 1.3 was a hcs.
