smithyandco
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/beta/ For those who love to test pre-release software... Firefox 4 Beta 1 is available The redesign is quite clean and fresh but may take some users some time to adjust. Most functionality I've tried so far works perfectly. Page rendering speeds seem to have improved, especially on older PCs - This could be an advantage for Netbook users. Memory usage has improved drastically - Running 4 Youtube tabs in Firefox 3.6.6 used 251MB, Same 4 Youtube tabs in Firefox 4 is using 110MB. Again, another advantage for Netbook users. Older spec PCs will also benefit as you'll be less likely to get reduced response from Firefox use of the paging file after eating all your physical memory. Overall... Seems like Firefox is heading in the right direction again!

Little pointless comparing stable browsers to betas. ..http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/benchmarks/Acid3/Acid3ScreenCapture.pngAcid tests are a little pointless, it doesn't matter as much as the thing working in the real world does
