jghs83
This is the most confused car i've ever seen from the first pics!! Fully stripped out, but then bunged a show cage in it & worst more, re-gained all the weight lost with the cage and those stupid floor plates which weigh a good few KG =/ then the Scooby scoop and angel headlights - if this thing over took me on track I'd drive into the nearest tyre wall ..... Good for parts thou! I run those breaks on my 2.1 turbo and had to double pump the brakes as the MC couldn't cope, same problem with yours? P.s. just seen the last few pics, get rid of the T*at scoop Haha, great post lol. My theory is " if you cant take a joke, dont drive one!" well i can take a joke :-D The cars lost the cage and angel lights and is now running cosworth brakes (but even with the hi-specs it was fine) It was never meant to see a road again but with the demise of the van i was left with 2 motors sat there doing nothing so built one out of two. The bonnet scoop is staying until i fmic it, the scoop "blew" off a while back and there was definetley a drop in power so a screwes it back on with some stainless self tappers. At the end of the day its only a fill in and is currentley going through some changes.

They will be changed in due course. Taken the rs accessorie grill off and replaced ut with a ghia chrome one. FINALLY fitted an interior. Rs2000 front recaros, si door cards and "headrested" rear bench with carpet backings. Black roof lining Map light with 20 second relay 6 speed wipers, added the extra wire for them to work. Working heated windscreen. Im yet find a goo condition air con system so ive replaced the aircon switch with a normal one. Ive swapped the deflex lower arms for the van ones, they were creaking/knocking (turns out the bushes were a bit dry) but i might sell them. Things to do Weld in door panels so i can finnish them Fit tow bar Fit wider tyres Fit my I.C.e in Colour code the handles Paint and fit the skirts Tint the windows Im still undecided whether to pull the rest of the stickers off. jghs83
info on the black roof lining??? have you / someone done it black or is it standard on another escort? loving it now mate de sticker it though i'm also a little un sure on the chrome bits but maybe thats just me? I cheated/bodged the black roof lining a bit. I took the stock roof lining and painted it with matt black emulsion If i find another painted rear trim im going to colour code the grill and the trim. The chequers will be coming off as i get too much attention from unwanted souces. Update but no piccies, Interior door panels welded in and sealed Electric & heated mirrors fitted & working. Gonna fit my 6" alpine type g's tomorow along with brushed aliminium door handles from a puma. Window tinting film has arrived so ill fit them sunday.
