The black top engine is far from all aluminium.Block and head is aluminium is it not? Nope! Not on the black top fitted into the Focus 1.8/2.0 and late MK2 Mondeos. They are, but there were only fitted into the MK2 Focus, MK3 Mondeo, MK6 Fiesta, that generation onwards. Yeh i know, but whilst discussing the blacktops i got the impression that the problems listed in this thread were quite negative even if just caused by the cover. Anyway, i want that engine.
