MCCORNY11
when my boss's transit needed a new windscreen i also got a quote for my car to get a heated one put in. the guy quoted me 150 fitted. now does that seem cheap or too cheap? the class that was fitted to the transit was not original ford glass but it was made by FY. anyone know of this glass company and/or complaints? my car is a standard mk6 escort

shawdreamer
What firm was that with? As I need a new front heated screen for the estate. if you mean me then RAC windscreen centre. It wasnt part covered in my insurance either, that was the full price for glass and fitment at that time. like I said though, it depends on supply. I went in on the spare of the moment cos my existing heated screen had a awful scratch were a stone got under the wiper. Turned out they had a heated sunstrip one in that had been ordered but never used and it costs more to send back than to drop the price on. I was prepared to pay out around £200 for standard one and lose my heated screen to save cost, practically ripped the guys arm off to shake on it. MCCORNY11
What firm was that with? As I need a new front heated screen for the estate.its a local firm from dunfermline. the guy says that autoglass and rac are only pricing themselves out of the job. this guy has been in business for 7 years now. fitted the windscreen on the transit and supply's a lifetime guarantee with the windscreen he even comes to you. i would do a quick search for the local guys and give them a quick call.
