redmex
http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/WP_001019.jpg Got the sill on.Oh mate Ive so been there many many times before on mk1's and 2's. You have all the usual Rot, but its so rewarding seeing it come together though. Have the lower screen pillars gone near the scuttle? We still have some mk1 stuff here which you might be needing one day.. Example a very late 15GT lump from a 1500GT mk2 "thats the 6 bolt crank ones!" Set of new +30 pistons etc etc.. Are you a member of .buysellcortina.co.uk?? My last project is on there from 2006, Homebrew 16v zetec mk2 Here's a tip for you, mk1/2 escort exhausts fit perfect if you squeeze out some of the bend near the diff flange. Escort front and rear springs fit too (rears will require escort shackles) Keep the thread up, I love old skool Sparkie
Ahmotorsport
Believe me this will be quite a bit of kit! We've got an engine ready to go together, Lotus bottom end foe the moment, all polished, arp'd light weight omega pistons so hopefully might be able to squeeze 8000RPM. having Capri rear springs with 2 1/4" springs with Gaz all round, probably end up with LEDA though. I know, Ive owned one with Vulcan cams many moons ago. I much preferred my GT tbh and the mk1 is a light shell too. The Mk1 is a fantastic looking car Hope you dont need front wings, they are soooo dear! OUCH! As i say we have some gear left , if you need something, let me know If you want new screen seals at half price, I know who molds them here in UK.. PM me if you want the details. SparkieAye, my Pa knows the ins and outs, i just do as i'm told! xD His last one was 44 years ago, yet he still remembers it all, some how! The Mk1 is probably one my favourite cars, i've been bugging him since i can remember to rebuild 'ANK' I'll let him know what you say about the rubber seals, i'm sure we're gonna need some! Yep it needs wings, probably having a fibreglass, rather fitting since it's a race car. http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/WP_001040.jpg http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/WP_001041.jpg
Ahmotorsport
Bit of an update, due to moving workshop, can't work on it every day anymore + every bit from now on seems to be £1000, so had to save for a while. http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/WP_0000712.jpg
