Recently i sold a set of rear lights for mk3 mondeo on ebay, was packaged up well, and was in good condition,

i get a email of the guy who bought them saying the lights are damaged and the corners are missing, this is Balls, they were removed from a 50k miled car and were in good condition no damage whatso ever, how do i go about this? i'm not refunding him he can Fcuk right off, he hasen't left me feedback yet

why is there always someone out there to try make others suffer, everything like lights and that are being collected from now on,

Personally this is what i would do

Offer to refund him when they are returned if they arnt broke and he's trying to pull a fast one he isnt gonna send them back

If they arnt broke and he breaks them in order to send them back it kinda defeats the point in buying them and he will lose out on the postage to return them to you

if they are genuinley damaged then fairs fair get them back and issue refund try and claim from the carrier altho some wont payout for glass/ plasstic breakages

I wouldnt Cry about it its one of them things if thats all you have to worry about then i want your live and your issues use it as a lesson in life learnt and move on

what were the terms and conditions of your sale?

what has he asked you to do?

how did you send them?

He's not asked nothing yet just sen a message saying they were damaged, i know full well they wern't,

sent them recorded delivery cost more than i put on the advert with royal mail too,

terms and conditions? no idea on that front tbh

all i listed them as grab a bargin and put them up cheap which he won them at,

i stated collection or post but prefer collection, that way the transaction is done face to face, out of all the items i've sold over the years, i've never ever had one bad feedback, check on here at the side,

Trouble is mate that you may have to refund him. As he may put in a case to eBay saying it was damaged. Best thing to do us get him to send pics of damage. And maybe send the lights back to you. If you stated that you won't be held responsible for any damage whilst in transit then you might of got away with it. But as a seller you are responsible. Try get some proof off him n go from there Edited by escort4x4

Request photos of the damage. If he refused then you're in the clear. If they are damaged, and you sent them recorded, then you can claim for The Royal Mail.

I don't see the problem.

I wouldn't immediately assume that he's trying to pull a fast one just because they were fine when you boxed them up.....

cheers will do that,

He's sent me a message and says the broken corner was found in the box.

where do we go from here??

Common sense says to ask him what he expects you to do?

How much did he pay?

He sounds quite feasible tbh!

he won them for £9 so aint much tbh

inc postage?
