shawdreamer Posted February 14, 2012 Share Posted February 14, 2012 Ive never really got why everyone finds these OEM jobs so attractive and are willing to pay silly cash for them when there possibly the worst remote system ford have ever used and look like cack to boot. your much better off with a simple aftermarket remote kit that works from 360 degrees (where-as the OEM sensor can be blocked easily), that doesnt have a cack range (Ive seen them only work when your near as dammit stood at the bumper), has added features such a roll-up windows, boot release, sunroof closure (which afaik ford remote systems from the escort era never ever had) plus as said..... they look like cack. So I'm going to give it ago if I don't like it there's nothing lost only gained. As for it looking cack I see where your coming from but the interior light i have at the moment looks no better sp again there's nothing lost. Hezz made the how to guide that's on the site I struggled to find the parts when I did this a few years ago. The only part I need is the loom Which needsto be from an escort with a electric sunroof. Do all escorts with a sunroof have electric sunroof looms or are some of them manual?
