K3V HA
I want a new steering wheel for mine cos the gti one is fuc*in horrible! its too big!! Only thing is, i doint really want to lose the airbag! Is it possible to fit one from an Si or RS2000 (ive noticed these are smaller versions of the gti ones!) How hard is it too fit one?? Mk6 Si Ross
should be easy, you leave the battery off for an hour ish before working on the wheel and then its only a few screws. should be easy to unplug the wiresand plug em back into another Ford wheel, otherwise its bye bye airbag!! John
you leave the battery off for an hour ish before working on the wheel and then its only a few screws its safe after 15mins ross airbags are were i go into suicide mode at work, i'm a complete tart for not disconecting batteries at the best of times never mind when i'm working inside a vehicle. never will forget the time the health and safety bloke came running across the workshop shouting STOP!!!!! he started going on about airbags and safety laws etc, while he was bleeting on i said "here can u hold this a sec" and handed him the airbag should have seen his face. that earned me my first warning too for some reason

Lee R
I just compared an Si wheel to my GTi wheel... I can CONFIRM there is NO difference in size whatsoever
Pete
Lee some models of the Si are deffo smaller. One of my mates had one and his steering wheel was quite a bit smaller than the one I had on the GTi Unless the one in mine, now Kevs, is a different one
