scottybo
bongos intake setup arrived!!!! almost wet myself with excitement! anyway i started unbolting everything and putting the intake system in, really easy to fit actually although it looked a little different in bongos engine bay (pretty sure he relocated windscreen washer bottle as mine site right next to the filter) http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j432/scottybo1/filter.jpghttp://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j432/scottybo1/filter2.jpghttp://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j432/scottybo1/filter3.jpg looks great, sounds great but have i gained any power? id like to think so but probobaly not. throttle response is a little better though! just paves the way for my exhaust system at least

bongo
yes mate where you see the hole in the bottom under the filter i cut the neck off the bottle cut it down and put it there,as it fouled my filter. http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh146/bongo2008/4Medium.jpg http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh146/bongo2008/10Medium.jpg this will allow you to fit it tidy, one screw into wing and 2 screws in the bottom. JC
give us a pic of how yours is done lordjc! i was just gna stick a breather filter on it http://i906.photobucket.com/albums/ac263/lordjc1983-2/Silver%20Escort/IMAG0890.jpg not the best pic but the blue hose from the top of the rocker cover goes to the catch tank that has a cheap breather on the top, then another hose from the catch tank to the filter. I did loose the bracket for the K&N, hence the cable tie I did that as some tracks will not let you on if you don't have a catch tank, or somewhere to catch oil. You need to allow the engine to breathe Also when the engine is being revved high the oil does come out the breather, had that on my 1.6 and 2.0 Edited October 7, 2012 by JC
