danj8608
If it could be a wiring problem then why would it not do it on right hand bends either ? Other than the exhaust system it has a superchip. Any ideas what it could be ? wether or not it could be 50 other things.. I thought it could be an issue with the fuel pump not getting enough fuel as soon as you take some lock off the steering its fine. Last resort will be a mechnic

sidrick
Muffler bearing, lol. Have you tried jacking one side of the car while it's idling? My money would be on a connection on or around the pump itself.

sidrick
Personally, if I thought there could be an issue with my fuel pump, then I'd start with the pump itself and work back from there. In and around the tank is pretty much exactly where you don't want poor electrical connections. As far as you're aware, is it the original fuel pump? Naylor2006
My old fuel pump was doing this, hard left and it wouldn't cut out but it would starve the fuel, didn't happen on right bends, was was happening was the g pulling the pump one was causing the 12v to come loose. demented
Don't know whether your issue been resolved. However, I had similar issue on Escort, it would cut out slightly on left turns, occasionally on long bends. Turned out, the area behind battery had corroded, so the battery was not being held as secure as it should be, although when I rocked the battery by hand, it felt secure. On left turns the battery would slide slightly to the left, enough so the edge of the live terminal which slightly protruded from under the plastic battery cover would catch a bolt of the bonnet hinge and short out briefly. The engine would hesitate, felt like running out of fuel.
