1/4 mile times

Don't no if it's been done before but is there a topic of a list of 1/4 mile times for tihe girls and boys of evo. Thought it would be worth asking for one to be created, would give people an idea of their cars performance. And I it would give people a goal to work to as we all know (those of us that have done it) how addictiv it can be. Bet there would be a few people that are inspired by the list to keep up the top 8)

Customer Gary Cos - Mk1 Escort - 12.8 @ 105MPH - AHM 2L ATMO Cossie.

Good friend Jim - Allard J2 - 9.3 @ 132MPH - AHM 9L Chevy.

Good times, but I think this will be aimed at forum members. No point in a load of 1.6 escorts in the same table as randoms running sub-10s with engine builds that we can never be told about.

Lee, I remember the Estate build well, epic effort  14.7 is very respectable. Just over the time of my car and just faster than a standard Escort Cosworth by Google figures.

Could have done a little more IIRC, no?

That you can never be told about? You serious? I only posted up a whole thread on the 1600 with all the pictures you could ever ask for :') not knowing the final power figure isn't the most important thing, at least i didn't think it was? That was the owners choice anyway, not mine.

The Allard is around 850BHP, i forget the actual figure, but it was above that anyway.

The Escort is 250BHP.

Well, the numbers are important to some (not me, particularly) but in a 1/4 thread then things like that will become very important.

I'd have thought this thread would be more for those that own the cars and have project threads. I could be wrong though. It just seems a bit :\ if you, or anyone, who works at a performance garage will have the top 500 times due to customers cars. IMO, you should have the 1/4 time of your Imp and cars you own.

You should bear in mind that as a mk6 Escort forum, 850BHP motors aren't going to be run of the mill.

Perhaps when a decent orignal post is sorted we can have various categories, like CC, induction method proven/unproven, etc.

I see what you're saying, advertising is all! If they're not wanted here, do go ahead and delete them if requested.

1/4 mile for an Imp? Would it make it that far? Probably be about 25 seconds. However, one went down Brighton Trials in under 13 seconds! Yammy bike engine in the boot, it sh!t all over an Audi R8, i thought it was fantastic!

I don't know mate, Foxdie had had it for a while by then, he had already improved a few things. He always felt there was more in it mind.

Epic effort - Yes :)

Epic money pit - Yes :(

If I had my time again, no way!!!!
