scottybo
Hi i did the converstion last week on my car if you need help.just ask was it difficult to do? what were the biggest problems you came across
dalelc16
the biggest prob i had ,was getting the parts. the link up above is good to use.your drums has a abs ringwhich you need to fit to stub axle on the st170 but you will find that on the st170 the abs ring is diffrent size you need to take that off and get the bit it pushes on to machined smaller to fit the escort one but when fitting on to car make sure it isnt to close or to far away from the senser as your abs light will come on.also you need to drill the hole bigger to fit the abs senser but when i took my drums off and undo the bolt which holds it i couldnt get the senser out of hole so had to cut wire and buy another abs loom off ebay. it is easy to do and anyone can do it but you need to mod for abs ring to fit, thats the only pain and the ass part.it looks good and works finealso buy a new hand brake cable dont use second hand Hi i did the converstion last week on my car if you need help.just ask was it difficult to do? what were the biggest problems you came across everything just bolts on except-

dalelc16
its a mk6 finnesse x reg and no it doesnt have abs most mk6 does have abs but if it doesnt then its realy easy to fit just bolts on use the guid i think you might have abs tho do you have the abs light which comes up when you start the car.or open bonnet and look to the left to if you have a box with dark green pipes coming out of it. RO55
Look for Focus 2.0 rear discs as they are £20 a side from a scrappy .. Slightly smaller but allot cheaper. Need to machine the hub down for the Escort collector ring and drill the hub out for the pick up .. ST170 hand brake cable .. Puma 1.7 16v Brake lines .. dalelc16
thats a good guid r055 but i think its worth getting the st170 as if you got the front ,you might as well have the back to match. i paid 100 for second hand parts then bought new discs and pads and hand brake cable which was about another 150.which made it quite dear in the endto get machiend was 20 a side.
