Had a really shite day at work Friday.

Got back to the depot at 16.30 to be told

"Can you go and see the Boss before you go home?"

Brain starts working overtime.

Who have I carved up?

Who has carved me up and I have responded with a hand jesture?

No,can't think of anything.

Go into her office,yes,her office.

"Hello,would you like a new Scania?,there's one coming Wednesday?

"Let me think about that for a nanosecond"

After 413000kms driving around Suffolk,Norfolk,and Essex in an underpowered Volvo

for the past seven years the answer was a resounding "Yes please".

Result.

Any similar early pressies,or what are you guys hoping your loved ones

are gonna be buying you for Christmas??

well the least she could have done is give you a pay rise as well and to old to worry about Christmas, we just get what we want, as in white good/holidays ect during the year, not even sending xmas cards this year bloody postage to expensive, yes I know BARR HUMBUG, any nice wagon the scania look after it, you may get the pay rise as well

Mate,after the Volvo,the Scania will be heaven.

Heated seat just in time for the snow........and a proper horn note instead of that poxy meep meep

from the Volvo.Not that I can show any animosity to those who carve me up!!

PS.Do you deliver to the Ipswich stores?

yes! I used to be a "get out the truck and go mental at people" driver. But i'm getting old and I find just chillin out and laughing at these dickheads is much less stressful lol

 

I do occasionally deliver to Stoke Park, and use to deliver to the other Ipswich store years ago on nights. I go past Ipswich alot on the 14 as I quite often go to Felixstowe to do a container swap

 

and yeah, the new Scania horns are awesome, like a old skool compressed air horn

East of England Co-Operative Society mate.

We are the 2nd largest (?)independant society outside the Co-op group,

hence feck all to do with those dodgy bankers.

The Scania will be in the new livery and that looks pretty damn good on the one that came last month.

The boss said yes to some conservative blinging,but it will just be the scooby numberplate

and my 4ft tall scooby in the passenger seat.

Cant be arsed to white letter the tyres,even though they are Goodyears!!

Just gonna try to keep it immaculately clean inside and out.
