Thanks for that doesn't sound too bad at all thanks for the pictures they really help. And when you say ford garage do you mean go to a dealers garage? I'm gonna have a look see if I can find the motor now I know what I'm doing. Also how does this help me with getting remote central locking on mine because it's mentioned somewhere on here that it that you need electric sunroof or the wiring to connect rcl? If so what else do I need for that? Thanks again for the info a great help!

escortedal
yes main dealer for cover, good price for motor, iircc remote locking sensor is in the courtesy light, so you need to source that.
dalelc16
This really is an easy mod. What you take down is what you put up and connect the + and - to the nearest point which runs of the ignition.

mike19892007
Lol £20 good price? Local scrappy charged me £4 for a sunroof motor when I done this mod on my old mk6. Nice mod though especially if you make it one touch so you ain't gotta sit there holding the button to open it

Hello folks, I thought I would drag this thread up as after looking at it I thought I would have a go at doing it but, after finding the red plug behind the drivers kick panel. I don't think it's going to be long enough to reach ! My question is, is their more tucked away higher up behind the fuse box maybe ? Or, do I cut and extend the wires until they reach ? Any help would be appreciated Cheers Adder
Hezz
If you've found the red plug then that just needs uncoiling as it will be wrapped up
