bluliz
if thats near the front of the door ( at hinges) then its 110% electric/heated mirrors. FACT ur central locking... have u check fuse? think we went over that. does it work from passenger side? sit inside the car with all doors shut, and push the door handle IN. do all doors lock? PeeWee
Yeah thats the one nearest the door hinge.Hmmm! Thought i was gettin somewhere today findin that.If dats the electric mirrors thatl be why no connector as i dont av electric mirrors thanks for puttin me straight on that one.As for central locking, nothin from any door or boot switch and nothing from door handle when pressed from inside?Avin a bit of confusion with the fuses as i dont have a fuse holder for fuse 19 which is supposed to be central locking.fuse box goes up to 28??do have 2 wires wedged behind 2 seperate fuses that looks like they go to the central locking? Thanks for ur help? bluliz
yeah fuse 29 was for a earlier or later models of mk5, not sure whcih as u dont have 29 then ur C/L is fuse 19. try putting a 20amp fuse in. ya never know like my new sig?
PeeWee
Yeah i see where your comin from but fuse holder 19 is just plastic holder as in no metal inserts to put a fuse in I wonder if thats what the yellow wires r for?I can post a pic of my fuse box tomorrow if it helps.Thinking about taking dodgy yellow wires out and testin on live source?Wotdo think. bluliz
hmmm do u have the central locking bits in the doors? strange that there's nowhere to put the fuse. run a multi-meter over them, B&Q for £6.99, try opening and closing the lock. i'm tempted to bet on no voltage transfered when unlockinh/locking door.
