my mate has just bought a 1.8 si p reg and wants to know what the pipe that goes over the cam cover is for?

its not the air pipe its a solid pipe that goes towards the manifold area. looks like a power boost valve but its not

air con,or EGR,i dont know for sure cos non of my 3 escort have ever had those features

without a pic i'll say it's a RST charger pipe thats been fitted to the EFI inlet

not much, heats up zost gasses into th einlet manifold, so easier cold starts, just get urself a later inlet manifold and zost manifold 2 get rid of it
