cool,love the WRC kitted one

However,i find it hard to believe that a cossie that trounces mildly modded ones over half a mile cant pull away from the 300BHP scooby on the straights. The cossie jeremy drives must have loadsa power to pull away from the other ones like it did, even the slowest one wasnt standard

the black escort cossie (K44 ACE) Clarkson drove is my engine tuners car, or was at the time - and thats the guy he nudges out the way and takes his keys.

the car now belongs to my brother inlaw Dean who now works for him over at M.A.Developments - in that video clip the car was near on 400bhp but is now a tad over 460bhp.

most of the scooby V cossie footage was staged, took a long afternoon to film that few mins of video!!

M808 is a monte carlo which belongs to a good friend Paul Ripley and is now heading towards 440bhp

the Blue one Clarkson is holding the bonnet up on is another good friends dave Moss's car, was about 350bhp then but is now almost at the completion stages and is 670bhp+ built by M.A.Developments and is already the 3rd fastest proven escort cossie in the country.

the white WRC kitted escort belongs to Ian howells of Racetech motorsport.

670BHP from a 2.0......................and JC said that the FQ400 was technologically astounding! this is one of the problems with STANDARD cars, even the wildest ones are very tame. The bugatti veyron for instance. JUN auto made a skyline with over a thousand horsepower and they didnt need 8 litres and 16 cylinders and 4 turbos

Think he would have been on about either the mitsubishi lancer or nissan skyline as they're the only other 2 cars that spring to mind in the same league. much rather have a cossie over a subaru any day! impreza's are just SO comman! quality vid! :thumb:

Yes mate, 670bhp from a 2.0 - there was room for improvement but they ran out of time at the dyno on that day so could make a little bit more when fully mapped and on the road.

our same tuner has built another sossie engine upto 850bhp which now currently holds the fastest cossie in the country record at 208mph!!

the Clarckson clip is from one of his old videos back in 2000 called 'at full throttle'

he moves on from the escorts to tease you with the idea of a aston martin vanquish, then onto a brabus tuned 500SL but settles for his favourite of a 6.5 Brabus SLK
