sebsescort
Hi all. Been having a think and honesty i am no good at cleaning a car. I can do the inside no problem and same with washing the outside but when i comes to waxing and polishing im shite and car just looks crap afterwards. So ive decided to maybe get one of the mobile detailers to come and do my car. Does anyone know what sort of price they charge and where would i start to find someone? Cheers Seb

M4TT
depends on what you want doing and what produts they use. full defect removal? (swirls) 12hr sometimes, @ £25 an hour some lads chargejust a polish and a wax? 6hr again £15 to £20 an hour all depends on who and what produts. have a look on DW www.detailingworld.co.uk and see who could come and help. who ever you have from there, you gonna get a great job, and will look loads better
sebsescort
Ok cheers guys Would love a complete defect removal but maybe when ive got a full-time job as can't afford something like that at present. £50 seems around my budget for a nice shiny car I'll have a look around on DT
Martin
Why not spend £50 on some products and practice?
mikelskas
Why not spend £50 on some products and practice? true statement. Practise on your relatives first if your worried about messing your scort up. They will thank you for it! There is a guy on my street who has a detailer come round to do his X5. He is rich and likes to show off. I like to mock him because we live on a dirt road. Every time he takes it out it just gets muddy in 3 seconds. Especially in winter. I like to wash my own car, probly always will for these reasons: 1) It can be an enjoyable experience.2) Save money3) Gives you the chance to spot any defects on the car, scratches oil leaks etc etc4) No chance of a detailer scratching the car(by accident). ok if theyre professional theres a very slim chance. But you get the idea.

wwwd
Got a Valeting buy across the road and think he charges about 30 quid, not sure exactly what is involved for that though but he's got a tidy van and all the proper kit.
