Yule
Atleast you've got photos showing how bad the weather was, though the judge may take into account you were driving a "hot-hatch"?
p--john--p
i dont think you would get anything from the owner of the horses more likely a vet bill, i rashed into a stone dyke wall a year ago, it was foggy and outside farm entrance , come round the corner had to slow for another slight corner, wheels just locked up on the mud on road, and bang , right into the wall and gate , i had to pay the farmer £800 for him not to inform insurance, and get 3 feet of wall put back up , but because my car had alloy wheels, bucket seats etc... i was frowned apon and was obviously speeding , the farmer claims he heard my car 3 mile down the road efore crash, and i was lucky none of his " prize cows were hit "have you ever cimbed out a car after a smash looked about and getting stared it by a cow lol
PeeWee
Wow!! How can a horse make such a dent and live?? Crazy accident! Sorry to see that. Hopefully you can claim damages from the owners and also break the car, you may even make a profit that way I can pritty much garentee if you find the guy that owns the horse your gona be paying him back, as one of the horses is worth more than your car even though the horse was on the road.....???? yeap wild animals , the police will not find you in favour nore will a court, happened a couple of times where i use to ride Having a fcuking laugh, be serious. How can they be owned & wild animals at the same time.1/ If the horses were running wild how does that make one worth more than his car.2/ If theyre owned then the owners fcuked for letting them roam free.Simple. ScORTED
no tax no insurance so not a leg to stand on... i've previously volenteered to attach road tax to all road going horses using a nail gun to attach the tax discs to there heads, shouldn't be on the roads, it'd be like allowing someone with a mental age of 5 to drive a car... rant over, basically mate your car is a total loss and you'll be lucky to see a penny oput of the B*stard that owns them
Grant Gti
Soory to see that mate, On the plus side you're bound to make a profit if you break it the trim has to be worth good money and i know for a fact the front bumpers fetch crazy money, I watched one go on ebay for £200!!!! Still a shame though
DanSankey
and they shite all over the road, that causes accidents too, especially for bikers, its as bad as ice sometimes
TC-DNB
Cheers for the comments guys! Now, in answer to your questions: ScORTED, you're right - i will be lucky to see a penny out of this! The police found no trace of the horses (apparently searched a big area with no luck!) and didnt ask at any local farms/stables. They told me an investigation will begin in 3-4 weeks! I took this into my own hands and went to a few farms etc but got the same answer from each owner - "nope - my horses are all here" suprise suprise! Chances are they were pikey horses so i definately got no chance of seeing money! My uncle had a similar accident about 20 years ago and he was told by the solicitors not to pursue a law suit against the farmer who let his horses out, as he will most likely lose! Even though the farmer admitted they were his horses and they shouldnt have been there, my uncle wouldnt have won the case, and the same will go for me! I wont be claiming on my insurance as i know what they are like, and given my excess of £650 i will get pennies for that car. Its going into storage until i decide what i want to do with it. Ideally, buy a nicer GSI or kitted corsa, and put my interior and strut brace etc over to it, but the sensible option will be to strip in down, sell interior and bodykit and go from there. Lucky i still have the escort on my drive! So for now - back into Escort ownership! Another point not to pursure a case is that the horses were all wearing coats, and from what i could see of them they looked big and strong - not skinny little runt horses! Chances are the horse i hit will be dead, must have broken rips, or bad leg/back etc? And SaMMy125, the horse prob was more expensive than my car haha To conclude...I FCUKIN' HATE HORSES!.........[looks for shotgun] Tom

Where abouts was the accident? http://leisure.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/leisur...ublisher=allpub The yellow road, below 69 where you enter the wooded area...roads got a lot more twists and turns than that but you get an idea....there are stables on each side of the road for miles in that area! B*stard animals.... keep the escort! corsa are not that nice a car! keep the escort 2.0 lump in it! and im sure you will prefer it to the gsi, plus there no space in a tiny corsa! Yea i think it was a sign to keep the escort! Crashed it, minimal damage (could have been A LOT worse), bought a new car which was done over by horses, and the whole time the 'scorts been for sale had no interest. Must be a sign haha Thing is i prefered the handling of the corsa to the escort...and that interior How much do you think i could sell that for? What engines in yours Tez and how does it pull? What engines in yours Tez and how does it pull? im not the engine expert but i only hear good things about putting 2.0 lumps in! thats why im trying to get funds to lump one in! it can be dirt cheap in reality as if you buy a cheap mondeo, rip the engine out, sell your old engine and break the mondeo you could even make money! but i need the money to buy the car first! mione only a 1.6 currently by the way! sure people will back me up in saying its worth the 2.0!
